GENESIS CLINICAL RESEARCH CORPORATION is a privately held corporation dedicated to bring innovative treatment to the North Alabama Area. GCRC is a dedicated research site working with private practice physicians in the North Alabama area. We are a local corporation serving our local community.
Dr. Bonnie Truett-Serrett
Founder and CEO of Genesis Clinical Research Corporation, she has over twenty-nine years experience in Critical and Emergency Medicine and is a seasoned Certified Clinical Research Coordinator. A native of Tennessee, and a graduate of the University of Tennessee, she has lived in the Huntsville area for the last 18+ years.
Jason Shawn Serrett, AA, BS Public Health, EMT/FF
Shawn, husband of the founder, spends every third day as a career Firefighter for the City of Decatur Alabama and the remainder of his time he serves as the company's Executive Vice President. He also functions as a study coordinator. and devotes 36 to 40 hrs a week to the business. He handles the procurement of equipment and equipment maintenance. As a Certified HazMat Specialist, he serves as the companies BioHazard Training Coordinator.
The 2300 square foot facility has a dedicated lab area, 3 exam rooms, EKG, secure storage, space for study monitors, T1 Internet with secured encrypted wireless access. Genesis Clinical Research is committed to managing its growth in order to maintain optimal accuracy and efficiency in study completion. Our research staff members are caring healthcare professionals and they have experience in a number of specialties.

Genesis Clinical Research is located near Huntsville Hospital, which is the North Alabama and Southern Tennessee referral center. The hospital is the most comprehensive healthcare provider between Birmingham and Nashville. The 901-bed facility has a medical staff membership exceeding 500 physicians, representing more than 65 medical specialties. Cullman Regional Medical Center
The ER at CRMC is a Level 2 trauma center that is staffed 24/7 with medical doctors, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses & ER technicians. It is a part of the Baptist Healthcare System and is the largest facility between Huntsville and Birmingham.
Hartselle Medical Center is a 150-bed, acute care facility serving a population of approximately 11,000 with several small surrounding communities yielding a total service area of approximately 26,000 people. The facility has the only Cardiac Rehabilitation program in the county and offers a fully staffed emergency room around-the-clock.
Marshall Medical Center North is a 90 to acute care facility located in Marshall County, Alabama, equidistant between the cities of Guntersville and Arab. In 1990, a facility is voluntarily Accredited by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of healthcare organizations. Offering diminished modern equipment and medical procedures available, MMC-N features all private rooms. The medical staff of MMC-N consist of nearly 50 active staff physicians and a host of courtesy and consulting staff. Specialties range from family and internal medicine the general surgeons, neurologists, gastroenterologist, plastics, and reconstruction surgeons and more. Many of the specialist offices on the MMC-N campus. The emergency department sees an average of 35,000 patient’s each year and is a certified as a level II trauma Center that is served for emergency helicopter transports.
